Ernæringsstatus hos eldre, HUNT4 70+ -studien

Hvor utbredt er underernæring blant eldre i Trøndelag?

Bakgrunn

Vi vet at underernæring er utbredt blant eldre også i vestlige land. I Norge har mindre utvalgsstudier fra sykehus og institusjoner vist at underernæring forekommer ofte hos eldre. Vi mangler robuste tall på forekomsten av underernæring i en større populasjon av hjemmeboende eldre og eldre på sykehjem.

Datamateriale fra HUNT4 70+ gir oss mulighet til å beskrive viktige indikatorer for ernæringsstatus både hos hjemmeboende eldre og eldre på institusjon.

Formål

Avklare forekomsten av underernæring i en større populasjon av hjemmeboende eldre og eldre på sykehjem.

Metoder

Prosjektet utnytter data som ble samlet inn i HUNT4 70+ (2019-2019). I dette materialet inngår data om kroppssammensetning og ernæringsstatus blant eldre ≥70 år, samt  data fra selvrapporterte spørreskjema og  kliniske undersøkelser som ble utført på feltstasjoner, på hjemmebesøk og på sykehjem.
