Trondheim Municipality

The board shall consist of a total of 7 members (with personal deputies), all of whom are elected by the County Council itself, with the exception of the employee representative/deputy:

• 3 members with deputies are elected from among the members/deputy members of the County Council.
• 2 members with deputies are elected from external professional environments/stakeholders, based on a proposal from the board.
• 1 member with a deputy is elected as a representative for the county municipal dental health service, based on a proposal from the County Director.
• 1 member with a deputy is elected by and from among the employees of the enterprise (cf. Local Government Act §9-6).

The chair and deputy chair of the board are elected from among the 3 board members chosen from the members of the County Council.

The enterprise shall maintain accounts in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Act (cf. Local Government Act Chapter 14).

Board documents shall be submitted to the County Director c/o the County Dentist at the same time they are sent to the members of the enterprise board.

Matters that may have significant consequences for other county municipal operations must be discussed with the County Director before being addressed by the enterprise board.

• The Local Government Act, including but not limited to Chapter 9 (enterprises) and Chapter 14 (financial management)
• Regulations on financial plans, annual budgets, annual accounts, and annual reports for municipalities and county municipalities, etc. (Chapter 6)
• Regulations on reporting from municipalities and county municipalities
