Orthodontics
Diagnostics and treatment of dental imperfections.

What is orthodontics?
Orthodontics is the professional field of bite deviation. dentition defects and growth. In orthodontics, treatment often consists of the patient being given a fixed apparatus (regulation), but in some cases, regulation is also started with a plate. The purpose of orthodontic treatment is to obtain better function and aesthetics.
First consultation
The first consultation is used to identify the patient's needs and problems, and then to make a plan and cost estimate for further treatment. The patient's medical history, symptoms and complaints are reviewed. In addition, an examination of teeth and bites is done, including x-rays, ordinary and/or digital imprints of teeth.
Treatment planning
In orthodontic treatment, careful planning and coordination will usually be needed before treatment can begin. In some cases, the involvement of several medical and dental specialties is required. On the other hand, it is important that a course of treatment is well planned to ensure the most predictable outcome and to reduce the risk of side effects and complications associated with the treatment.
Cost
Orthodontic treatment is done on children, adolescents and adults. This is a treatment that is covered according to a percentage of the state (HELFO) and according to certain criteria. If you do not fall under these criteria, it is also unlikely that you will be able to cover any of the costs.
