Prosthetics
Diagnostics and treatment to ensure oral function, comfort and aesthetics.

What is prosthodontics?
Prosthodontics is the field of dentistry concerned with the replacement of lost tooth structure and missing teeth. Teeth can be restored or replaced using composite materials, metal and porcelain crowns and bridges, removable dentures, and/or implant-supported restorations. A prosthodontist also addresses issues related to bite physiology.
Initial consultation
The initial consultation is used to assess the patient's needs and concerns in order to develop a treatment plan. We review the patient's medical history, symptoms, complaints, and expectations for treatment. The consultation includes an examination of the mouth and teeth, including X-rays and clinical photographs.
Treatment planning
When treating complex cases, careful planning and coordination are usually required before treatment can begin. This process often involves multiple medical and dental specialties and can be time-consuming. However, it is essential that a treatment plan is well-structured to ensure the most predictable outcome and to reduce the risk of side effects and complications associated with the treatment. Therefore, the treatment plan generally cannot be presented during the initial consultation.
