Background

In Central Norway, the academic communities at St. Olavs Hospital, NTNU, the Competence Centre Dental Health Mid and the Public Dental Service in Trøndelag have joined forces to establish a Clinical Academic Group (KAG) for oral health.

In Oral Health KAG, researchers and clinicians work together on teaching, innovation and research for a holistic health service and good oral health throughout the population.

Purpose

The purpose of establishing an Oral Health KAG in Central Norway is to provide good conditions for research and professional development, thereby contributing to the building of a robust academic and research environment within oral health in Central Norway.

Oral Health KAG will facilitate development and research that provides a better basis for health promotion, diagnostics, treatment, follow-up and care of patients, and better utilization of health resources.
