How does snus affect your oral health?

Hintergrund

There are few epidemiological studies on mucosal lesions and similarly few studies that elucidate the effects of snus on mucous membranes, despite the fact that the use of snus is increasing sharply in Scandinavia.

Purposes

We will map the incidence of mucosal lesions, what effects snus has on oral health and whether the bacterial flora of the oral cavity is altered by snus.

Métodos

We will use the data collected in HUNT4 Dental Health. In HUNT4 Dental Health, a mucosal. In HUNT4, salivary samples suitable for mapping the bacterial flora in saliva were also taken, and self-reported use of snuff.
